So this blog entry is an update on the progress of this project. And as it is a custom we have a good and and a bad news. Let’s start with the bad one.
Bad news: We will not have demo release this fall. Basically we spend a lot of effort analyzing the current VR market and concluded that modern VR landscape standards are not the same as they were 2 years or even 1 year ago. Even early demo today has to be very very polished experience. We plan to integrate high definition rendering pipeline and to completely redo soft body physics.
Good news: We have allocated funding for the entire project, and that funding is bound to the following timeline:

You can customize different elements in your yacht. For example you can choose your flag. We already have a sizable list of flags but more will be added before launch. Choosing flag is very natural and easy.
We are trying to elevate the experience of eye contact and facial expressions to a new level. Crossing the uncanny valley is not an easy task but it is not impossible to do, just very hard.
As with everything else in our games we don't use predefined animations. All character behavior including the facial expressions is procedural i.e. computed at run time.
